Jakarta, May 23 (UNI) A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia's western Bengkulu province on Friday morning, injuring several people and damaging some houses but without triggering large waves.
"The shakes of the quake were felt strongly by the residents in Bengkulu City," Reza Afriyanto, secretary of the Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency of Bengkulu province, told Xinhua.
About 33 houses and one building were damaged in Bengkulu City, the provincial capital, and several people were injured. However, no casualties have been reported in Bengkulu province so far, local media reported.
