99.21 percent of funds utilised in fiscal 2024-25 in Bihar: Deputy CM

Patna, Apr 04 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Friday said that 99.21 percent of funds was utilised during the financial year 2024-25 in the state.
Chaudhary said that budgetary allocation of all departments was Rs 2.78 lakhs crores in financial year 2024-25 and Rs 2.76 lakhs crores was utilised, which was 99.21 percent of total allocation. Never before in history of Bihar, utilisation level of funds was so high, he added.
"During the financial year 2001-02, only 23 percent of funds was utilised when RJD was in power in Bihar ", Chaudhary pointed out. With better utilisation of funds, development was visible all around in Bihar as school buildings, hospitals, roads and other infrastructural facilities were improved remarkably, he added.
"During the financial year 2025-26, budget size has increased by Rs 23,885 crores over the previous year ," Deputy Chief Minister said. Budget size of Bihar for financial year 2025-26 was Rs 3.17 lakh crores, he stated.
