Ahead of UK visit, CM Mamata forms task force for administrative work

Kolkata, Mar 20 (UNI) On the eve of her visit to the UK, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday announced the formation of a five-member Task Force to carry out the administrative work and keep in touch with her.
The Task Force consists of three IAS and two IPS officers.
The three IAS officers are Additional Chief Secretaries Vivek Kumar, Prabhat Mishra and Home Secretary Nandini Chakraborty. The two IPS officers are DGP Rajiv Kumar and Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma.
Chief Secretary Manoj Pant will accompany the Chief Minister on her week-long visit to the UK beginning on Friday.
Banerjee told reporters at the state secretariat Nabanna that five senior Ministers - Chandrima Bhattacharya, Sashi Panja, Sujit Bose, Aroop Biswas, and Firhad Hakim - would attend the Secretariat every day and keep in touch with the Task Force officials as well as with her in case of any policy decision.
The party affairs would be looked after by Subrata Bakshi and Abhishek Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress Chairperson said.
Banerjee has a tight schedule during her week-long stay in the UK, where she would address the University of Oxford, hold meetings with the Indian High Commission office, preside over business meetings, and talk to potential investors in Bengal before coming back on March 28. UNI PC BD SSP
