AP: ASR Homoeopathic Medical College celebrates National Doctors' Day

Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh), July 1 (UNI) ASR Homoeopathic Medical College, a leading institution in Homoeopathic education and treatment, celebrated National Doctors' Day here today.
Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal Prof Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali stated, "As the occasion is marked by National Doctors Day, this day is celebrated to make the upcoming doctors aware of their social responsibility and how a doctor is seen from the perspective of the public.

"Every student should remember that a doctor is a role model of the society; hence, every student should maintain that integrity and dignity and gain hands-on experience which the college gives to them, he said.
"Established five years ago, the college boasts a team of highly qualified and experienced doctors across various departments. These dedicated professionals are adept at treating a wide range of ailments, utilising the principles of Homoeopathic medicine," said Dr Ananda Kumar.
The Homoeopathic system of medicine has a large and wide scope, he said, adding the people of the surrounding villages can take advantage of this college OPD and its attached 50 bedded hospital for getting treatment for various illnesses.

"This college is dedicated to providing quality education and healthcare services in the field of Homoeopathy," the Principal said.

With a focus on research, community engagement, and academic excellence, the college strives to empower its students to become compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals, he informed.
The college extends its services to rural communities through peripheral Outpatient Departments, bringing medical care to those in need, the College.

The college announced its collaboration with CCRH, and said this apex research body will enable the college to undertake several research activities in the field of Homoeopathy.
The college also collaborated with Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust, a well known NGO, to support the implementation of peripheral OPDs and the achievement of community health goals, aligning with the recommendations of the National Commission for Homoeopathy.
With 100 seats intake capacity admitting students qualified through NEET exams, the college has consistently achieved state ranks in the NTR University examinations, a testament to its commitment to academic excellence.

The college is set to embark on seven approved CCRH projects in the field of Agri-Homoeopathy.
The programme was attended by Academic Vice Principal Dr. Kadali Srivinas, Administrative Vice Principal Dr. D Surendra, Prof. Dr. Sanapala Ananda Rao, and other faculty members and students.

The Principal also praised the efforts of the previous Principal, Dr. USV Prasad.
