AP: CCTV cameras will be installed in Undi constituency

Bhimavaram, AP, Apr 15 (UNI) Deputy Speaker of Legislative Assembly K Raghurama Krishnam Raju has said that CCTV cameras are being installed in Undi Assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 3 crore.

A surveillance camera will be installed for every 100 meters of the entire constituency to enhance security for the people and maintain the law and order situation efficiently, he said, adding that the CCTVs will be installed at a cost of Rs 3 crore. Raghurama Krishnam Raju thanked those who came forward to extend donations to install CCTVs.

The Deputy Speaker launched the installation of CCTVs at a programme held in Aadividu on Tuesday. The installation of CCTVs was taken up under the ‘P4’ programme. Many individuals have handed over their contributions to the deputy speakers to carry out our development works in the constituency at the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy speaker clarified that every rupee donated by donors would be spent transparently under the supervision of the district collector, adding that he is working to create infrastructure in government schools and that, for this, modern education would be made available in every school.

Raghurama Krishna Raju noted that the high school would be developed in Akividu with the support of SBI, and a park and yoga centre would be set up near the government hospital in Akividu with the support of Canara Bank.
He assured that the constituency would be developed in all sectors by organising more programs in the coming days.

Collector Chadalavada Nagarani said that for the first time CCTVs are being installed in the entire Undi constituency, in all four mandals, as part of increasing security for the people. The installation of CCTVs would help to regulate crimes in the town, she observed.

Eluru Range DIG GVG Ashok Kumar, SP Adnan Nayeem Ashimi, and Municipal Commissioner Krishna Mohan, and a host of officials were present.
