AP: CPI takes out protest rally against petroleum products price hike

Kakinada, Apr 10 (UNI) The CPI workers under the aegis of party Kakinada district Samithi have taken out a big rally in the main streets of the city on Thursday protesting against the steep hike in prices of petroleum products including the domestic cooking gas.
The rally that commenced at Kotha Kakinada has passed through Ramalayam, dairy farm road, Yelchuri Paparao street and converged into a dharna at the Mother Theresa center .
CPI state committee member Thatipaka Madhu and district secretary Thokala Prasad while addressing the demonstrators have criticized the state and central governments for publicizing the free gas scheme but instead laying an additional burden on the people.
