Arunachal BJP organises Tiranga Yatra to celebrate Op Sindoor, honour Armed Forces

Itanagar, May 14 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arunachal Pradesh, on Wednesday, organised a grand Tiranga Yatra titled “Citizens for National Security” in the state capital to honour the Indian Armed Forces following the success of Operation Sindoor.
The march that commenced from the Clock Tower, Ganga, and culminated at the IG Park Tennis Court here drew enthusiastic participation from all walks of life, including prominent state leaders, ex-servicemen, and members of the public.
Party’s state general secretaries Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Nalong Mize, and Tadar Niglar, along with MLAs Techi Kaso, Mutchu Mithi, and Tojir Kadu, and Itanagar Mayor Tamme Phassang led the rally. The event was also supported by the All Arunachal Ex-Servicemen Association led by its president Tatung Taro, alongside BJP functionaries, Morcha leaders, and dedicated karyakartas.
Addressing the gathering, BJP state general secretary and Tiranga Yatra convener Nalong Mize lauded the Indian Armed Forces for the success of Operation Sindoor. He hailed it as a historic and decisive military action against terrorism, executed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mize said the operation resulted in the neutralisation of over 100 terrorists and the destruction of terror bases deep within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
“New India, under PM Modi’s leadership, is strong, assertive, and does not tolerate terrorism. This mission sends a clear message that India will act decisively to protect its sovereignty and people,” Mize asserted.
Local MLA Techi Kaso echoed similar sentiments, warning Pakistan against supporting terrorism. “Any misadventure will be met with strong consequences. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our forces,” he said.
Air Commodore (Retd) RD Musabi praised the Armed Forces for their valour and efficiency. Calling Pakistan a “factory of terrorism”, he urged Pakistani citizens to reject policies that promote extremism and violence.
Tatung Taro, president of the All Arunachal Ex-Servicemen Association, expressed gratitude to BJP leadership for organising the patriotic event and thanked Chief Minister Pema Khandu for flagging off the Tiranga Yatra from Walong, Anjaw district. He paid homage to PM Modi and senior Union leaders for their unwavering support to the armed forces.
Taro warned Pakistan of dire consequences if it continues to provoke India, stating that the country remains united and vigilant.
The event concluded with messages of solidarity from BJP leaders, who reaffirmed the state’s commitment to national unity and security. BJP announced that similar Tiranga Yatras will be held across districts and mandals in Arunachal Pradesh to honour the armed forces. UNI TD SSP
