Bengal: Malda man arrested from Sealdah station with arms imported from Bihar

Kolkata, Mar 17 (UNI) The Special Task Force of Kolkata Police on Monday arrested a man from the Sealdah station and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition, suspected to have been imported from neighbouring Bihar state, official sources said.
The seized arms include six country-made revolvers, four magazines, and eight bullets.
The Special Task Force (STF), following an input, laid an ambush at the busy Sealdah station and caught Hasan Sheikh, a resident of Malda district, when he got down from the Hatey Bazarey train this morning.
The STF, after frisking him, found those arms and ammunition in a bag.
Sources said the arms dealer had recently been in Bihar and procured those illegal weapons and was to deliver those in the city of Kolkata.
Police said Hasan would be produced before the Sealdah Court later on Monday and ask for Police custody to probe where he was supposed to deliver those weapons.
