Bhadradri Kothagudem (UNI), Apr 7 (UNI) The sacred town of Bhadrachalam, often revered as the 'Ayodhya of the South', witnessed the divine wedding of Sita and Rama with great devotion on Sunday.
Now, all eyes are on the grand coronation ceremony — Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam — scheduled to take place at the renowned Bhadrachalam Ramalayam on Monday.
The Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam, held annually on the day following Sri Rama Navami, is a unique celebration dedicated solely to Lord Rama. The ceremony will be conducted from 1030 to 1230 hours, with Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma gracing the occasion. He will offer silk clothes on behalf of the state government as part of the coronation rituals, temple sources said.
As part of the festivities, Lord Rama will be ceremoniously adorned with a royal ensemble, including ornaments, a parasol, a royal staff, a royal seal, a conch shell, a wheel, and a crown — signifying his coronation as the king.
The temple authorities have completed all preparations for the divine event. Adding to the grandeur, a chariot festival will be held tonight, drawing devotees from across the region.
