Bihar: Rs one crore looted from land purchaser in Patna

Patna, Mar 18 (UNI) Armed criminals looted Rs one crore from a land purchaser in Ashok Nagar locality under Kankarbagh police station area here on Tuesday.
Police said here that few people posing as land owner and brokers contacted a person Ravishankar to sell a plot to him. They invited Ravishankar to see a vacant plot which was selected by him to purchase it, police added.
"One Nitish Kumar, claiming himself to be land broker asked Ravishankar to come to Ashok Nagar locality with Rs one crore in cash against advance of negotiated price Rs 1.75 crore of the plot ", police said adding that as Ravishankar reached Ashok Nagar locality with cash in car, they looted the amount of Rs one crore at gun point and managed to escape from the spot.
On the basis of complaint lodged at Kankarbagh police station, an FIR had been registered and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits, police informed.

Commissioner and Secretary Forest and Environment Department, Pravin Bakshi said the audit of industrial units in Byrnihat was initiated following Chief Minister Conrad Sangma took stock of the environment situation with officials of Forest and Environment Department and Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB).
