Bihar: Strict action be taken against Jan Suraj leaders for creating disturbance in Nalanda

Biharsharif, May 18 (UNI) The administration has announced to initiate strict action against the leaders of Jan Suraj Party founded by Prashant Kishore, popular as PK, for deliberately creating disturbances in Nalanda on Sunday.
Official sources said here that considering the written request of the Jan Suraj party, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Biharsharif had permitted the party to organise its public meeting programme at Shramik Kalyan Maidan, Biharsharif on Sunday ( May 18 ).
The sources alleged that defying the permission of the administration, the Jan Suraj party leaders deliberately did not hold the meeting at the permitted place for which they had sought the permission instead tried to hold meetings and campaigns at other places.
After receiving information, the district administration swung into action and took immediate necessary steps to maintain law and order.
The sources said that the Jan Suraj leaders allegedly defied the orders with an intention to disturb law and order.
According to the sources, the district administration will conduct a detailed investigation and based on the report, strict action will be taken against those who created disturbances.
The sources said that while seeking permission to hold its meeting at Shramik Kalyan Kendra ground in Biharsharif on May 18, the party had informed about participation of 05-08 thousand people.
According to the sources, the applicant had also deposited the fee for reservation of the ground.
PK had earlier announced to kickstart his mass movement of signature campaign on various issues from the native village of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar Kalyanbigha in Nalanda district. The signature campaign slated to start from May 11 was deferred for May 18 in view of the scenario emerging out of the Pahalagam terrorist attack and escalating Indo-Pak tension.
While announcing his signature campaign PK had stated that it would focus on three major points including whether the announcement of Nitish government to provide Rs 2 lakh to each 94 lakh poor people got the money or the announcement remained only a jumala?
The focus had to be on whether the Mahadalits who played a pivotal role in keeping Kumar in power for 18-20 years, have got the land or not and if Kalyanbigha remained untouched by the money collected in the name of land survey all over Bihar?, they added.
