Birth anniversary of Veer Kunwar Singh to be celebrated as Valour Day in Bihar : Samrat

Patna, Apr 22 (UNI) Birth anniversary of freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh will be celebrated as Shaurya Diwas (Valour Day) in Bihar on Wednesday.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Tuesday said Veer Kunwar Singh would be remembered with great respect and dedication on his birth anniversary on Wednesday. His contribution during 1857 revolution was immense and had fought with great valour, giving a new momentum to freedom struggle, he added.
" Air show was organised in Patna on Tuesday as trial for mega air show to be organised on Wednesday to commemorate birth anniversary of Veer Kunwar Singh as Shaurya Diwas, " Chaudhary said adding that air show was being organised jointly by Bihar Government and Defence Ministry. Colourful air show by Surya Kiran aerobatic team would help in spreading the message of patriotism among the people particularly youths, he added.
" Students from 40 schools had witnessed the air show of fighter planes of Indian Air Force on Tuesday, " Deputy Chief Minister said adding that nine hawk 142 fighter planes would present air show over Patna. It was for the first time that birth anniversary of Veer Kunwar Singh was being celebrated with great fanfare and valour of fighter planes, he added.
" Inaugural ceremony has been suspended due to national mourning declared after death of Pope Francis, " Chaudhary said adding that air show would be organised as per schedule.
