BJP govt creating crisis after crisis before people: Akhilesh

Lucknow, May 11 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said that the country's borders have to be kept strong and safe and social harmony and brotherhood should be strengthened.

While addressing the workers who came from different districts of the state in the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Auditorium of SP's state headquarters, Akhilesh said that industry and trade have to be made economically strong by increasing them, this will make the country strong and the nation powerful.

He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has created crisis after crisis in front of the common people. "The economy is in crisis. The youth are facing the crisis of jobs and employment. There is also a crisis on democracy and constitution in this government. The fight of the socialists is to save democracy and the Constitution and to get rid of all the problems of the people," he said.

The SP chief said that corruption is at its peak in the BJP government. "There is corruption in every work and every department. Inflation and unemployment are increasing," he said.

He said that the solution to all the problems in the state is in the PDA government. "The agenda of the PDA is to establish the rule of social justice. Everyone should get ready for the 2027 assembly elections. Workers should strengthen the booths, stay among the common people," he said.

He said, "Engage with full force in the preparations for the assembly elections. Tell the public about the failures of the BJP government. There is a lot of difference between what BJP says and what it does. BJP makes false promises. It emotionally cheats the public. It misuses power at every step."

Akhilesh said that the law and order in the state is in shambles. "Criminals are committing crimes openly. Uttar Pradesh is at the top in terms of incidents of atrocities against Dalits. The government says that the criminals have left the state. When the criminals have left the state, how are the incidents of crime happening? Why are incidents of murder, robbery, rape happening?," he said.

He said that farmers are in distress under the BJP government. "Farmers are not getting the right price for their crops. There is large-scale rigging and corruption in the purchase of paddy, wheat, groundnut and other crops. The dues of sugarcane farmers have not been paid in full. Wheat is not being purchased by the government. The government is in collusion with industrialists in wheat purchase. The real face of BJP has come before the public," he said.
