New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday said the BJP is committed to fulfill the dreams former Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma envisioned for the National Capital.
The CM and Sahib Singh's son and Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma paid tributes to Verma on his birth anniversary.
Rekha Gupta recalled Verma's contribution and said "I consider myself fortunate to have got the opportunity to take forward the work that he started.
It is our responsibility to take Delhi further on the path of development. Recalling her student days, the Chief Minister said that when she became the President of the Delhi University Students' Union, Sahib Singh Verma congratulated her.
'Today, his daughter is the Chief Minister of Delhi and son (Parvesh Verma) is a Minister. Together we are committed to building the Delhi as dreamt by Sahib Singh Verma'.
Speaking on the occasion, Parvesh Verma pledged to fulfill the unfulfilled dreams of his father and reaffirmed his commitment to take forward the development of Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"My father has devoted his entire life to serve Delhi. Now it is my responsibility to complete his unfinished plans. Under the leadership of Modi, we will fulfill the dreams and take Delhi forward," the Minister said.
