Chandigarh, Amritsar airports reopen for civilian flights

Chandigarh, May 12 (UNI) Chandigarh's Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport and Amritsar's Sri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport reopened on Monday for civilian/commercial flights, official sources said.

Airports, shut down after India's 'Operation Sindoor', have been reopened after a ceasefire between India and Pakistan was announced a couple of days back.

Deputy Commissioner, Mohali announced on social media X : "Chandigarh airport is now open for normal civil flight operations with immediate effect as per information conveyed by CEO CHIAL.

Earlier, the Airports Authority of India had announced that 32 airports were now available for civil aircraft operations with immediate effect.
