Beijing, May 23 (UNI) China strongly condemns the violent attack that killed two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Friday.
"We have noted relevant information. China condemns any acts of violence. We believe the safety of diplomats must be effectively protected," Mao told a briefing.
On Wednesday night, two Israeli Embassy staff members, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were shot dead by a gunman at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington. The suspected shooter, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez, was arrested, he was said to have shouted a pro-Palestinian slogan during the arrest.
