CM Fadnavis fooled the people by promising to reduce electricity bills: State Congress chief Sapkal

Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Harshvardhan Sapkal on Saturday reiterated his charge that the ruling BJP alliance leaders in Maharashtra have "cheated" the people of the state.
He said that the ruling alliance is unable to even implement the decision taken by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of reducing electricity bills.
Sapkal said that Chief Minister Fadnavis who also holds the portfolio of Energy Minister, announced on March 28 that electricity bills would be reduced by 10 percent from April 1. "But on April 1, they fooled the people by filing a petition with the Electricity Regulatory Commission through Mahavitaran and getting a stay on the rate cut," he alleged.
