CM reviews law and order situation in Bihar

Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar instructed the senior authorities not to exhibit any laxity in crime control and to take stern action against criminals.
Reviewing the law and order situation in a high-level meeting along with the Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and Director General of Police Vinay Kumar here on Monday the Chief Minister said that the criminals should not be spared at any cost.
He reiterated that the maintenance of law and order situation always remained at the top of the agenda of the government and said that there should be no laxity in crime control.
Action should be initiated against those who commits crime even without considering their status, Kumar directed and asked the authorities to ensure immediate action against the culprits without any discrimination.
Asking them to give special attention to the investigations, the Chief Minister said that the conspiracy angle behind the crime should also be investigated and tough action must be taken based on the inquiry.
Instructing the police to complete the investigation at an accelerated pace for speedy and timely action against the culprits, the Chief Minister said that the police and administration should be prompt in their action.
During the meeting, the DGP apprised the Chief Minister of the latest steps initiated to control the crime and informed that the police were alert to the law and order situation.
