Nashik, Mar 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is on a visit to Nashik on Sunday to hold a review meeting regarding the preparations for the coming Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2027 to be held in Nashik.
Fadnavis arrived in Nashik last night.
After that, this morning, Fadnavis went to Trimbakeshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and had the darshan of Lord Trimbakraja. He also performed Mahapuja on this occasion.
Fadnavis also went to the Trimbakeshwar Temple and had darshan. After this, Abhishek and Mahapuja were performed by Fadnavis.
Meanwhile, after performing Mahapuja, Fadnavis will visit various places including the Trimbakeshwar Sadhugram site and Kushawart Kund in the backdrop of the Kumbh Mela.
Minister Girish Mahajan, MLA Devyani Farande, Seema Hire, Hiraman Khoskar and BJP and Mahayuti office bearers are present with Fadnavis on this occasion.
On Saturday night Fadnavis arrived at Ojar airport. On this occasion, the state's Water Resources (Vidarbha, Tapi and Konkan Irrigation Development Corporation), Disaster Management Minister Girish Mahajan and Divisional Commissioner Dr. Praveen Gedam welcomed Fadnavis.
Former Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharti Pawar, MLA Devyani Farande, MLA Dr. Rahul Aher, Special Inspector General of Police Dattatreya Karale, District Collector Jalaj Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Manisha Khatri, Superintendent of Police Vikram Deshmane were present.
Fadnavis will review the Simhastha preparations in Nashik today.
