Maha: FIR against lady teacher for beating student

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) An FIR (first information report) has been registered against a lady teacher for allegedly beating up an 11-year-old girl student for not following her instruction, an official said on Tuesday.
According to police, during the class the teacher hit the class V student with a cane multiple times on her wrist, back and waist on March 21 at the school located in the Chembur area, causing her injuries, as the student was talking with other students and not following the teacher's instruction to focus on studies.
Following which, a complaint was lodged against the said teacher.
So far, no arrest has been made while the investigation is going on, an official said.
