Fadnavis presents Maha development roadmap

Nashik, Mar 23 (UNI) Stating that the development process is not limited to just one part of the state but overall development of the state is a priority, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday presented Maharashtra's development roadmap to new entrepreneurs.
In an interaction organised by the Western Region Council of the Nashik branch of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Young Indians, the Chief Minister also expressed his determination to promote development of Nashik.
Clarifying the direction of the state's development, he mentioned that the development process is being accelerated through efficient administration and effective implementation of decisions.
He assured the people of Nashik about upcoming Kumbh Mela and the development works to be done in connection with it.
Considering the manpower and climate here, Fadnavis said that Nashik has a great potential for industrial development and noted that there is a lot of scope for tourism and industrial development.
He further said that Nashik will develop more rapidly due to the Samruddhi Highway, along with the largest port in the country that is now being built at Vadhvan in Palghar district.
Talking about a big revolution in information technology sector in the state, he suggested that if communication facilities are developed, Nashik will benefit from it.
He also suggested to pay more attention to how AI technology can be used in a better way and informed that work has been started on the Centre of Excellence in partnership with Google.
The use of AI technology in the fields of agriculture and law is creating new employment and industry
opportunities, he said.
Along with the industry, the government is striving for development of the agriculture sector, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the Nashik district, known for advanced agriculture, is at the forefront of grapes, onions and vegetable production.
Nashik has also developed a value-added chain in the agriculture sector, he said and noted that this is the Nashik model.
Apart from this, the Sahyadri Agro has implemented the processing industry model very well, he pointed.
Fadnavis mentioned that the state has launched the Smart Scheme, Agri Business Scheme, and has started work to ensure that farmers get benefits of the market system.
India's economy is moving towards five trillion dollars, in which Maharashtra will have a large share, he said and informed that the roadmap is ready for the state to become a one trillion dollar economy by 2029 itself.
Due to the Samruddhi Mahamarg and the underconstruction Shaktipeeth Mahamarg, the pace of economic development will accelerate in the state and the Nashik district, he informed.
Stating that the country has a competitive environment in terms of development, Fadnavis said that Maharashtra is at the forefront among 10 to 12 states in the country that are doing well in industry and economic development.

The government is trying to ensure that this investment is not only restricted in the metropolitan area but also throughout the state, he added.
