Maha: CM inaugurates Mumbai Metro line 3 phase connecting BKC to Worli

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday inaugurated the Mumbai’s first fully underground Metro corridor, the Aqua Line (Line 3), Project's Phase 2 connecting Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to Acharya Atre Chowk in Worli .
Fadnavis, along with Dy CM Shinde, took a ride on the newly inaugurated metro stretch.
After the ride, Fadnavis said, “This underground metro corridor from Cuffe Parade to Aarey Seepz is India’s longest single-line underground metro corridor. The second phase opening reflects our dedication towards constructing world-class urban infrastructure. We anticipate the whole stretch to be operational by August in the presence of PM Modi, and we aim to open another 100 km of metro span across MMR by 2027.”
The project will be open for public use from May 10, Saturday.
The final stretch, from Worli to Cuffe Parade, is under construction and expected to open by August, completing the entire 33.5 km corridor.
