Himachal CM announces CBSE curriculum, B.Ed and BCA courses for Dhaneta

Dhaneta (Hamirpur), July 1 (UNI) Himachal Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today announced that the CBSE curriculum will be introduced at Government Senior Secondary School, Dhaneta, from the next academic session.
He also announced the introduction of co-education, science stream classes, and the launch of B.Ed. and BCA courses at the local degree college.
Presiding over the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ programme in Dhaneta, the Chief Minister also declared that a new agricultural procurement centre will be opened in Nadaun to support farmers.
Paying tribute to martyrs Arvind Singh and Subedar Kuldeep Chand, who lost their lives in 'Operation Sindoor', he announced that memorial gates would be erected in their native villages.
Sukhu took a swipe at the previous BJP government for opening institutions without financial provisions, while highlighting his government’s success in improving Himachal's education ranking from 21st to 5th nationally.
On health care, he said efforts are underway to modernise medical infrastructure at Tanda, IGMC Shimla, and Chamiyana in the first phase, and later in other medical colleges. A special survey is being conducted to provide home-based medical care to senior citizens above 70 years of age.
He said the state has offered MSP on milk, turmeric, maize, and wheat and saved Rs 3,000 crore by curbing corruption. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to support over 6,000 orphaned children under the ‘Children of the State’ scheme.
Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma, MLA Kamlesh Thakur, and several other dignitaries were present.
