Himachal: Landslide Nr Manikaran Gurudwara claims 6 lives in Kullu

Kullu, Mar 30 (UNI) A tragic landslide near the Manikaran Gurudwara in Kullu district has claimed six lives and left three others injured, according to reports.
The disaster, which occurred on the Public Works Department (PWD) road opposite Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib, was accompanied by a tree fall, adding to the devastation.
Officials have confirmed the identities of the deceased, including Ramesh (42), a resident of Vijay Nagar, Bangalore; Pallavi; Bhargav; Reena, daughter of Hanch Ray from VPO Mkm; Varshini, daughter of Ramesh; and Sameer Aurang, a Nepali national.
Additionally, two unidentified individuals, a Punjabi male and a female, are among the victims.
The injured have been shifted to Jari Hospital for medical treatment.
A police team is currently at the site, overseeing rescue and relief operations. The field Revenue agency is assisting in assessment and emergency response efforts.
Meanwhile, the Fire Brigade from Jari is on its way to the location, while the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Jari and a medical team have already reached the site to provide immediate medical aid.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur have expressed their
condolences to the families of the deceased.
CM Sukhu has assured all possible support for the injured and the bereaved families.
