Himachal leaders mourn death of Subedar Major Pawan Kumar in Pakistani shelling, Dy Chief Whip visits family

Dharamshala, May 10 ( UNI) Agriculture Minister Prof. Chander Kumar, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman (Cabinet Rank) R.S. Bali, and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania today expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Subedar Major Pawan Kumar of the 25 Punjab Regiment, in cross-border shelling by Pakistani forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
Subedar Major Pawan Kumar hailed from Shahpur in Kangra district.
In their condolence messages, the leaders acknowledged his supreme sacrifice in safeguarding the unity and sovereignty of the nation. “The grateful nation will forever remember his valour and sacrifice,” they said.
The state government stands firmly with the bereaved family during this time of grief and has assured all possible assistance and support.
The leaders prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family to bear the irreparable loss.
Deputy Chief Whip Keval Singh Pathania also visited the martyr’s home in Shahpur and personally conveyed his condolences to the family.
