IIT-K incubated startups partner for defence manufacturing

Kanpur, May 14 (UNI) VU-Dynamics, a cutting-edge aerospace startup from the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K), has announced a strategic partnership with infrastructure company Prakash Asphaltings and Toll Highways (India) Limited (PATH Group).
This partnership will prove to be a significant step towards advancing India's indigenous capabilities in defence manufacturing, under which cutting-edge aerial platforms will be developed. The partnership will help VU Dynamics' aerospace engineering and PATH Group to develop infrastructure at scale, it said in a media release..
With features like technical product development and strong execution capabilities, both thes organisations will develop excellent indigenous aerial systems for strategic applications. This will contribute to the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
VU Dynamics was founded by Subrahmanyam Saderla and Dr Shravanti Saderla, Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT-K. The company designs and manufactures next generation aerial systems for civil and defence use. The technology is completely indigenous, which can be operated for a long time and easily.
Director, IIT-K Prof Manindra Agarwal said, "It is a matter of immense pride for us that a startup incubated by Dr Saderla, a young faculty of our campus, has been able to secure investment for its innovative solution in the UAV space. I am confident that the partnership will be successful and contribute significantly to our goal of developing impactful technological solutions."
Co-Founder, VU Dynamics Prof Subrahmanyam Saderla said, "The partnership with PATH is a significant step towards expanding our aerial technologies. PATH’s commitment to nation-building makes them an ideal partner as we work towards empowering India’s indigenous aerospace capabilities."
