Illegal Bangladeshi will be dealt with severely: Tripura CM

Agartala, May 20 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday reiterated that the state government will take strict action against any illegal entry by Bangladeshi nationals or Rohingyas.

He emphasized that Tripura, which shares an 856-km-long international border with Bangladesh, will not tolerate unauthorized infiltration.

“If any Bangladeshi or Rohingya is found entering the state illegally, we will take legal action and push them back following due procedure,” Dr Saha said, asserting the government’s firm stance on border security.

Jowai, May 21 (UNI) Meghalaya has emerged as one of the leading states in healthcare investment, with over 8 per cent of the annual state budget—more than Rs. 1,000 crore—dedicated to the health sector, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said on Wednesday.
“The government is supporting not only state-run hospitals but also collaborating with church-run and non-profit hospitals,” he said after inaugurating the Hubert Rosario Road in Spein, Mookaswan, West Jaintia Hills district.
