Tehran, Feb 7 (UNI) Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday spoke out against talks with the United States, adding that experience tells him that negotiations with Washington would not help lift sanctions and solve Iran's problems.
"In the 2010s, we negotiated with the US & an agreement was formed. The same person now in office in US, tore up the agreement. Even before him, those with whom the agreement was reached didn’t carry it out.
The agreement was supposed to lift sanctions, but they weren’t lifted!" Khamenei said on X, adding in a separate post that negotiating with a government like the US administration was not "wise, intelligent, or honorable."
