Jammu, May 6 (UNI) Alert troops of Indian Army on Tuesday nabbed a resident of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources here said that a PoK resident, who identified himself as Waqas Ahmed, 26, resident of village Tarkhal, was taken into custody as he crossed over to this side from a forward village in the Chakan-Da-Bagh.
“No incriminating material or document was recovered from the possession of the intruder and as per preliminary investigation, it seems that he had inadvertently entered the Indian territory,” they said, adding that the matter is being investigated.
Notably, the LoC is witnessing the ceasefire violation as Pakistan Army is resorting to unprovoked firing in the border villages of Jammu and Kashmir as tension escalated between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of April 22 Pahal terror attack.
