JD(U) questions silence of Lalu and Tejashwi on Tej Pratap

Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) JD(U) on Monday questioned the silence of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on the incident of violation of law by Tej Pratap during Holi celebrations on Saturday.
State spokesman of JD(U) Neeraj Kumar told media persons here that RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav were silent on the incident of violation of law by Tej Pratap during the Holi celebration on Saturday last.
Both Lalu and Tejashwi should speak on the issue in public as Tej Pratap, also RJD MLA and former Minister had forced his security guard to dance to a song being sung by him in his Holi celebration, following which the bodyguard was placed under suspension, he added.
" Tej Pratap had also violated traffic rules by driving a scooty without using a helmet ", JD(U) leader said adding that those violating the law had no right to raise questions on the law and order situation in the state. He also rubbished the allegations that criminals were getting patronage of the government, saying policemen would not have been attacked, had there been realities in allegations, he pointed out.
" Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had refused to recognise and extend any favour long back when an FIR was lodged against me in connection with a case", JD(U) leader said adding that his position was restored in the party only after he was given clean cheat during an investigation. Barring a few incidents of attack on policemen, there was no untoward incident during the Holi festival, he further added.
