Kashmiri Pandits lead protest against Pahalgam massacre at Delhi's Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Expressing grief and outrage over the horrific massacre of 26 Hindu tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, Kashmiri Pandits supported by residents of Delhi, held a protest at Jantar Mantar here om Thursday to strongly condemn the act.

Raising slogans “Stop Hindu Genocide”, protestors denounced what they called the systematic targeting of Hindus across various states—from Kashmir to Mushirabad, and Manipur to Tamil Nadu, a Youth 4 Panun Kashmir statement said.

They also called upon the Government to formally declare “Pakistan a terrorist state” and sever all diplomatic and economic relations with it.

Prominent community leaders present included Vithal Chowdhary from Youth 4 Panun Kashmir, Amit Raina from Roots in Kashmir, Sumeer Chrungoo of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, and Kamal Hak from Panun Kashmir.

They condemned the attack as an act of “Jihadi terrorism,” and strongly criticised what they described as a deliberate whitewashing of jihadist violence by left-liberal intellectuals and media as “moral cowardice and betrayal of the nation.”

Moreover, they demanded the immediate arrest of Aga Rahullah and Wahid Para for their alleged inflammatory remarks against Hindus; formal declaration of Pakistan as a terrorist state, immediate suspension of all diplomatic and business ties, and closure of the Pakistan High Commission in India; official recognition of the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits and urgent protection and relocation of all PM package employees serving in Kashmir.

Speaking during the protest, Sumeer Chrungoo said, “The attack in Pahalgam is not just against tourists but is an attack on India. This is Ghazwa-e-Hindustan. If India does not awaken now, there may be no India left to defend.” UNI RBE SSP
