Kerala: Man kills his friend from Assam over financial dispute in Malappuram

Malappuram, Mar 20 (UNI) Police on Thursday arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly killing his friend from Assam over a financial dispute at Kizhisseri near Kondotty, on Wednesday.
The Kondotty police nabbed alleged accused Gulzar Ahamed from Vavoor near Areekode in connection with the murder.
The incident occurred last night at around 1030 pm when Ahamed deliberately knocked down the victim, Ahadul Islam (28) of Assam, and then run his goods autorickshaw over his body multiple times at Kizhisseri near Kondotty, following an altercation between them.
Local residents rushed Ahadul Islam to a medical college hospital at Manjeri, but he succubed to his injuries.
Following which, Ahamed was arrested from Vavoor in the wee hours on Thursday and would be produced before the court for his custody.
