Kerala: Priyanka Gandhi attends various functions in Wayanad

Wayanad, Mar 28 (UNI) AICC general secretary and MP, Priyanka Gandhi, said on Friday that our freedom, democracy and way of life come at a great cost, which was made possible by the sacrifice of brave heroes.
Speaking while inaugurating the "Veerajavan Thalachira Janeesh" smrithi mandapam at Ekkimanam, Edavaka near Mananthavady, she said, "Soldiers fight and lay down their lives for the country and to uphold the freedom of each and every citizen that we take for granted today."
She also said Mahatma Gandhi's dream was a strong panchayat system and my father Rajiv Gandhi attempted to fulfil and passed the Panchayati Raj Act during his tenure.
