Kerala: Young married woman arrested for sexually assaulting minor in Tirur

Malappuram, Apr 22 (UNI) The Tirur police on Tuesday arrested a 30-year-old woman under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy with the knowledge of her husband.
According to police, they have arrested Sathyabhama (30) of Kalladikode in Palakkad district and registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Her husband Sabir of BP Angadi in Tirur is absconding after the arrest of his wife and search is on to nab him.
Both of them are drug addicts and they attempted to give drugs to the victim.
The incident came to light following a complaint by the boy's parents, residing at Tirur, on Tuesday.
The complaint stated that the boy was sexually assaulted by the woman after using drugs from the year 2021, when the boy was studying in class X. Her husband Sabir allegedly filmed the incident on his mobile phone and used it to threaten the boy and extort money from him.
When the boy, now aged 19 years, showed discomfort for last few days, his parents asked about it and the boy revealed the truth and that led to arrest of the woman.
