L&T elevates Subramanian Sarma as Deputy Managing Director & President

Kolkata, Mar 21 (UNI) Larsen & Toubro has announced the elevation of Subramanian Sarma from Wholetime Director & President, Energy, to Deputy Managing Director & President of the Company with effect from April 02, 2025.
L&T Board has decided to extend his term to Feb 03, 2028 subject to shareholder’s approval in the coming AGM, according to a media statement here on Friday.
L&T’s resilient business model, strategic diversification and commitment to innovation positions it for sustained profitable growth.
By capitalizing on opportunities in infrastructure, energy, industrial solutions and services, L&T continues to drive value creation for stakeholders.

A graduate in Chemical Engineering, Sarma completed his master’s from IIT Mumbai. A seasoned professional, he has over 40 years of experience, with 30 years being in the Middle East. During his career span, Sarma has handled the complete Oil & Gas value chain across various geographies. Prior to joining L&T, Sarma served as Managing Director of a large EPC company. He was appointed on the Board of L&T in August 2015.
Under Sarma’s leadership, L&T’s Energy portfolio has emerged as one of the leading EPC Contractor globally, by achieving record financial results and being ranked among the top 3 EPC contractors in the Oil & Gas Sector (Middle East) for four consecutive years.
