Chennai, Apr 24 (UNI) The Madras High Court on Thursday set aside the discharge order and directed a Special Court in Vellore to frame charges as per law against senior leader of the ruling DMK and Tamil Nadu Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan and his wife in yet another Disproportionate Assets case against them.
The court also directed the Special Court, Vellore to hold trial on a daily basis and dispose the case against them in six months.
Mr Justice P Velmurugan passed the orders on the Revision petition filed by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), challenging the Special Court order in Vellore discharging
Mr Duraimurugan and his wife D.Santhakumari from the case.
The judge said since the check period in this case was between 2007 and 2009, the Special Court was directed to dispose of the case within six months by conducting the trial on a day-to-day basis.
Yesterday, Mr Justice Velmurugan had reversed the discharge order against the Minister and his family members in another DA case and passed a similar order.
