Maha: Eleven devotees injured in road accident in Nashik

Nashik, Apr 5 (UNI) At least 11 people were injured, three of them critically, after a mini bus they were travelling in collided head-on with a dumper near Sakur Phata on the Nashik-Sinnar highway in the district on Saturday.
According to sources in the Wadivarhe police, a mini bus carrying devotees was proceeding to temple town of Shirdi from Ghatkopar in Mumbai when it collided head-on with a dumper coming from the opposite direction near Sakur Phata.
After this collision, the residents of the area immediately rushed to the accident spot and initiated the rescue operation.
Also, upon receiving information of the incident, a Wadivarhe police team also rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
All the injured persons were taken out with the help of local citizens and immediately admitted to SMBT Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, some of the injured are likely to be shifted to other hospitals after receiving first aid.
The Wadivarhe police has registered a case of accident in this regard.
Further investigation is on, sources added.
