Pune, Apr 6 (UNI) Public representatives should use their position to solve people's problems and bring positive changes in their lives, Ram Shinde, Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, said here on Sunday.Speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised on his election as the Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Shinde said: "Despite my defeat in the recent elections, the party entrusted me with this topmost post. It is a great honour. While managing the house of assembly, I firmly stand with the members who raise people’s issues",
The event was organised by the residents of Kondhwa Budruk and associations of Karjat-Jamkhed and Karmala residents, with the initiative of MLC Yogesh Tilekar.
Tilekar alleged that the defeats suffered by him and Shinde in the Assembly polls were because of "conspiracies".
“We were defeated through conspiracies, but we chose not to retreat," said Tilekar. UNI SP.SSP
