Special committee to conduct enquiry into unauthorised constructions on MHADA sites: Maha minister

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) Minister Uday Samant announced in the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday that a special
committee will be formed to conduct an inquiry into unauthorised constructions on MHADA sites.
While replying to the calling attention notice in the lower house, he said that in Mumbai city and its suburbs,
unauthorised constructions have come up in Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road, Koliwada, Vashi Naka, Chembur and Saibabanagar area of ​​Dharavi.
He informed that it has come to light that constructions have been erected encroaching on reserved plots, public spaces and private properties and said that an inquiry into unauthorised construction at MHADA sites will be taken up.
A special committee will be formed to investigate the matter thoroughly and strict steps will be taken to
remove unauthorised constructions, he added.
