Mumbai, May 8 (UNI) Amidst growing tension on the India-Pakistan border after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, a two-day camp has been organised for thousands of students in the state who are being taught disaster management lessons in collaboration with the Skill Development Department and Aniruddha's Academy of Disaster Management.
This camp was inaugurated on Thursday at the Rajmata Jijau Industrial Training Institute in Thane by Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha.
Disaster management workshops will be held online in all industrial training centres in the state.
In this programme, Minister Lodha announced six new courses in ITI including courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electric Vehicle (EV) Management, Industrial Robotics and 3D Printing, Drone Technology, Solar Technician, which will start from the coming academic year itself, he added.
During the two-day camp, students received guidance from Sunil Mantri, CEO of Aniruddha's Academy of Disaster Management, while former Director General of Police of the state Praveen Dixit conducted an online workshop on civil defense for ITI students in the state.
