Kolhapur, Apr 29 (UNI) Maharashtra State Minority Commission Chairman Pyare Jiha Khan has said that since modern education can develop the country and society, the scheme of modernisation of madrasas should be implemented effectively. Along with Urdu, the Hindi, English and Marathi languages should be taught in madrasas, he said.
The Minority Commission Chairman said it is necessary to provide quality education for the progress of the country and for the upliftment of the minority communities including Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis and others.
He said emphasis will be placed on implementing a comprehensive education system for the boys and girls of these communities.
He reviewed the new 15-point programme of the Prime Minister for the welfare of minorities, at the district collector office this evening in the presence District Collector Amol Yedge and other officers.
Jiha Khan said that with the ideas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, support for all, development for all and trust for all, development of every section of the country is being achieved. Many schemes and activities are being implemented by the government for the overall development of this society. These schemes should be widely publicised. Funds for minorities should be made available to the grassroots people.
He also said that loans should be provided to eligible beneficiaries for the progress of the minority community. The Maulana Azad Minority Economic Development Corporation should provide educational loans to maximum students, he added.
