Maha: Tensions erupt after 2 brothers killed in Nashik

Nashik, Mar 20 (UNI) Tension prevailed in Maharashtra's Nashik district on Thursday after two brothers, including a city vice-president of the NCP (Ajit Pawar), were killed Wednesday night by unknown assailants.
According to police sources, the victims, identified as Manna Jadhav (city vice president-NCP-AP) and his brother Prashant Jadhav, were strolling near their residence in the Ambedkar Wadi area near Bodhale Nagar on the Nashik-Pune highway, when armed assailants attacked them. Bleeding profusely, the brothers collapsed on the road.
Upon receiving the information, a police force rushed to the spot and admitted them to the district hospital.
However, the doctors declared them dead.
The police claimed the attackers have been identified and will be arrested soon. A case has been registered at the Upnagar Police Station, and further investigation was underway.
