Maha: Young woman among 2 die, 8 others injured in road accident in Sindhudurg

Kolhapur / Sindhudurg, May 13 (UNI) Two people, including a young woman, were killed on the spot and eight others were injured in a road accident, involving three vehicles, at Humarmala on Mumbai-Goa national highway in Sindhudurg district on Tuesday.
According to sources in Sindhudurg city police, a youth and young woman, who were riding on a motorcycle, were crushed to death after collision of their motorcycle, a car and a dumper in front of Tata Motors showroom.
Both the riders on the motorcycle came under the wheels of dumper and were crushed to death on the spot.
While eight others including security guard of showroom, were injured, who have been admitted to civil hospital for treatment.
Police have identified the deceased as Anushka Anil Malve (18) of Annav-Dabachi Wadi and Vinayak Mohan Nilekar (22) of Ranbambuli.
Further investigation is under way, sources added.
