Maha: Youth drowns in sea in Sindhudurg Distt, 2 rescued

Kolhapur / Sindhudurg, May 10 (UNI) A youth was drowned while swimming in sea off Tarkarli coast in Malvan of Sindhudurg district on Saturday evening.
While, two others were rescued.
According to Tarkarli police, a group of six youths from Satara district had come to Tarkarli for outing, of them, three youths ventured in sea for swimming but failed to gauge the depth of the sea. One of them drowned, while two others were rescued by two locals.
Police have identified the deceased as Rushikesh Darasing Waghmode (24), whose body is missing despite a search operation by police.
While two rescued youths were identified as Omkar Shelar and Aakash Dheble.
Police suspended the search operation because of darkness, which will resume on Sunday morning.
