Imphal, May 11 (UNI) Manipur Police and security personnel launched ten separate operations in the state, resulting in the arrest of 13 persons allegedly members of various militant outfits.

Police said on Sunday that the operations which began on Saturday led to the arrest of two active members of KCP (PWG) from Imphal with large numbers of ammunitions.

Manipur Police also arrested four active cadres of KCP (MC Progressive) from Kakching and Imphal West Districts along with arms.

Security forces arrested one active member of KCP (Apunba) from Salam Maning Leikai under Patsoi-PS, Imphal West District. Another team of security forces arrested one active cadre of RPF/PLA from Mayang Langjing Kwaisphai, Imphal West District.

Police further said security forces arrested one active cadre of PREPAK (Pro) from Chingarel Tejpur under Lamlai-PS, Imphal East District.

In yet another operation, security forces arrested one active cadre of PREPAK (Pro from Wangoo Chairel Sabam area under Wangoo-PS, Kakching District).

Police further informed that Manipur Police arrested one active member of the G5 organization (who belongs to PREPAK) from Wahengbam Leikai Lairembi Maning under Imphal-PS, Imphal West District.

Security forces arrested one active cadre of KCP (PWG) from Thoubal Ningombam Utha Leirak under Thoubal-PS, Thoubal District .

In an operation at Ningel Awang Leikai under Nongpok Sekmai-PS, Thoubal District, security forces arrested one active cadre of PREPAK (Pro).

At Sajirok Turel Mapal under Patsoi-PS, Imphal West District , police recovered large numbers of hidden arms and ammunition.
