Manipur ex CM condoles death of BSF jawan in Pak firing

Imphal, May 11 (UNI) Former Manipur Chief Minister N Biren on Sunday expressed deep sadness over the martyrdom of BSF Braveheart Constable (GD) Deepak Chingakham, who sustained fatal injuries during cross border firing from Pakistan in the RS Pura sector and laid down his life in the line of duty.
He was a proud son of Manipur, and as a Manipuri-Meitei, his courage and devotion to the nation reflect the unwavering commitment of our people to protect and serve, Biren said.
He further said ,"We salute the armed forces for their relentless dedication and bravery. We stand with the family of Constable Deepak in this difficult time and will extend all possible support. His sacrifice will always be remembered with honour and pride."
Manipur Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba said, "Salute supreme sacrifice made by BSF Braveheart Jawan Deepak Chingakham of Yairipok Yambem, Manipur, in the service of the nation, sustained fatal injuries during cross-border firing along International Boundary in R S Pura, Jammu on 10/5/25, and attained martyrdom on 11/5/25."
