Manipur: 91 percent students pass in HSLC examination

Imphal, May 12 (UNI) The results of the HSLC examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education
Manipur was declared on Monday, indicating a decline in the pass percentage this year.
Of total 36,943 students appeared for the examination, the pass percentage was 91, as compared to 93 percent last year.
Ayam Thoi Singh, Controller of Examinations, informed on Monday that the Board is introducing Grades and Grade Points System without display of marks in the Certificate-cum-Grade Statement issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM).
The adoption of the new system is in line with NEP-2020, which aims to enhance the overall performance of the students, without giving undue pressure and stress to the candidates. The original Certificate-cum-Grade Statement will be issued to all the candidates after the announcement of the HSLC Examination, he added.
Unsuccessful candidates of the HSLC Examination, 2025 who want to reappear for the HSLC Examination, 2026 as regular candidates may be re-admitted to Class-X in their respective schools within 45 days of the date of announcement of the results.
The results were made accessible on the website of the Board.
