Manipur MP reviews developmental schemes

Imphal, Mar 23 (UNI) Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament and Chairperson of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) reviewed various government schemes taken up in Imphal East district on Sunday at Imphal East DC Office Complex, Porompat.
Reviewing the progress of the initiatives, Chairperson Dr Bimol along with Th Lokeshwar MLA reiterated the need to hold DISHA meetings every quarter. Bimol said such a meeting serves two key purposes, facilitating stock trading and enhancing coordination among various government departments in Manipur. He further said the DISHA meeting should not become a mere formality but should be conducted at least four times every financial year.
Dr. Bimol sought the cooperation of all stakeholders to perform their duties to the best of their abilities to bring about a positive change in our society. He also urged all DLOs to maintain transparency and accountability in their work for the betterment of the district. He further highlighted the meeting placed a special focus on key sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, and livelihood development, with discussions centered on improving the impact of these initiatives. The success of government schemes depends on coordinated efforts and proactive governance, urging all officials to work with sincerity to bring meaningful change to society, he added.
District-level officers (DLO) of different government Departments from Medical, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, PHED, CAF-PD, Transport, OBC, SC, DIC, DIO, DYASO, Handloom and Textile, and SLEE participated and presented details of various schemes and programmes.
