Patna, Mar 25 (UNI) Ruling out violation of domicile policy in teachers' appointment, Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that there is no such policy in the appointment of teachers in the state.
While replying to a question of RJD member Bhai Virendra during the pre-lunch sitting in Bihar assembly on Tuesday, Kumar said that the government was not mulling over introducing the domicile policy. However, he said that of the total number of teachers, 80 percent were from Bihar and only 20- 22 percent were from outside the state.
He informed that a requisition for the appointment of 7000 specially abled teachers has been sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission which would soon initiate the process.
Through his supplementary, Bhai Virendra raised the issue of giving more opportunities to the aspirants of other states in the appointment and said that the state was supposed to implement the domicile policy during the appointment.
Bhai Virendra said that 121 specially abled aspirants of other states have been appointed whereas only 44 aspirants of Bihar got the opportunity in the appointment.
