MIT WPU to organise National Symposium on ‘Synthesis of Science for Sustainability'

Pune, Apr 24 ( UNI) The Department of Biosciences and Technology, School of Science and Environmental Studies, MIT World Peace University, will organise a two-day National Symposium on ‘Synthesis of Science for Sustainability, Clean Energy, Resilient Agriculture and Circular Economy'.

The two -day symposium will start from tomorrow at WPU campus in Kothrud said MIT WPU Pro-Vice Chancellor Milind Pandey at a press conference here today.
The symposium will be inaugurated by National Science President Padma Shri Prof. Ganapati D. Yadav. Dr. Vishwanath Karad, Founder President of MIT WPU, will preside.
The event is being held under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Karad, Executive Chairman, MIT WPU.
The symposium will discuss four topics: Affordable and Clean Energy, Climate-Resilient Agriculture, Circular Economy and Natural Resources, and Natural Products and Functional Foods. The speakers will include Dr. Adipunya Mitra from IIT Kharagpur, Dr. Bharat Kale from MIT WPU, Dr. Vitthal Baravkar from SPPU, Dr. Sujoy Saha from ICAR-NRCG, ​​Former Senior Scientist Dr. Malti Venkatesan, Dr. Shashi Kumar Road from ICGEB, Dr. Rajshree Joshi from BAIF Development Research Foundation, Dr. Manasi Tripathi from IWMI, Dr. Samatha Mathew, Dr. Anand Ghosalkar, Dr. Kaushik Banerjee, Director, ICAR NRCG, ​​Dr. Utpal Roy of BITS Pilani, Dr. Kiran Kumari of Loyola College and Dr. Rekha Singhal of ICT will be presenting these views, he added.
The main objective of this event is to promote interdisciplinary collaborations and innovative thinking and to build effective partnerships for a sustainable future.
There will also be oral and poster presentations by research scholars and young scientists who are promoting emerging innovations and research at the grassroots level, he added.
